Happy Birthday, Chris!

Happy Birthday!

Thank you for leading me through this thing called life and for being the greatest support I could have ever asked for! I love you more than you'll ever know!

And now...for reasons why I love my husband!

He dresses up like Justin Bieber.

He makes funny faces when he eats.

He drives a cool car.

He doesn't allow me paint.

He likes ice cream. And I like ice cream.

He makes me laugh!

And he's just down right handsome!

My Best Friend Is Getting Married!!!

Wednesday night I was so excited to drive to the north side of Houston and wait and wait and wait some more for Chad to pop the question so that we could all celebrate! Chad put together a little get together for some of their friends and family following the proposal to Kelli. I was seriously so anxious the three days prior knowing what would come. I'm not gonna lie...I really enjoyed getting to play it off to Kelli like I had know clue that it would happen anytime soon! We've been waiting for this day for what seems like forever. Chad and Kelli, I am seriously so excited for you two! Enjoy this special time - there's truly nothing like it! And PS. Let's plan a WEDDING!! :)

One of my favorite pictures from Chris and I's wedding.
Kelli caught the bouquet! She wasn't the next one engaged,
but she'll be the next one MARRIED!

The bling

So cute - listening to Chad's dad's precious toast!

No, I'm not a midget. And yes, those are the two best friends
I could ever ask for!!

Houston Rodeo

Chris and I had the opportunity to go to the rodeo 3 times this year! It's become one of my favorite times of the year since moving to Houston. We got to see Lady Antebellum, Reba, and Chris Young. And of course...ate some fried foods along the way...

Lady Antebellum

Reba McEntire

Thomas came in town! And we had fried oreos and cookie dough. Yes, please!

So cool! That calf had just been born that morning and was
already up moving around!

Baby pigs!

Chris Young

Can't wait until next year!

Cabinet Remodel!

Chris and I have picked out projects we'd like to eventually complete in our little home and the kitchen cabinets were at the top of the list! It took us over a month, but the cabinets are finally complete!! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

Everything's taped off and ready to go!

Lots of beautiful horrific cabinets!

Making progress...

And why not organize the pantry while we're at it!

Our Newest Addition...

Meet Eva...the newest edition to the Brown family. She's a 2010 Infiniti G37S. Let me just tell you...Chris has been researching and looking and drooling over the G37's for over 6 months now. He sold his  motorcycle (more on that here) a few months back and has been saving for his dream car. He finally found one that was just what he was looking for! It took a little ozone treatment (to get the smoke smell out! Eww!), touch-up paint job (that the dealership gave him a voucher to get done), and of course some obsessive detailing to get her just perfect! Without further ado...

Eva Brown

Like a little kid! He was SO excited!

Valentine's Day

Chris and I got to spread Valentine's Day into 2 days this year! We both had to work on the 14th, so when we got home we had a casual dinner at our favorite local seafood restaurant - Topwater Grill, then came home and enjoyed the evening curled up on the couch and watched a movie! In an effort to miss the crowds (and b/c we didn't plan far enough in advance...), Chris surprised me and took me to eat at Vic and Anthony's - a very nice steakhouse in downtown - the day after :) (Nice recovery! haha!) Though it was unlike any other day, it was certainly nice to enjoy that time just the two of us!

Here are a few pictures from our day(s)....b/c let's be honest - you don't look at my blog to read my ramblings...you just want to see pictures...if even that. But that's what I'll keep telling myself!

One of my favorite days at work...I squeeze it in around every holiday! Cookie decorating!

Thanks for sharing the love, Chick-Fil-A! I treated myself and one of my
co-workers to chicken biscuits to get our day going!

And....we ordered our team heart shaped pizzas! Best HR ever?!

My B-E-A-utiful Michael Kors watch from my hubby! :)

Even Topwater Grill got a little fancy and served chocolate
covered strawberries to the ladies on Valentines!

Yep...we're there...somewhere...

Mmm, mmm, mmm....

Headed out for our fancy date!

And then we came home and had red velvet cupcakes!
